Description: Host the Silver Rose devotions honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe and praying for life. In 1531 Our Lady of Guadalupe presented a cloak of roses to the bishop, asking that he build a church. On Thanksgiving, the first run was in 1960 with a natural Rose leaving Ontario Canada, flying over much of the United States, and was a relay run from Laredo to Monterrey Mexico. Since then the Roses have been made of silver. We are again into the running of the Silver Roses with six Roses, asking Mary to accept our thanks and to intercede for our petitions. Our Rose started in Manitoba in March and will be presented to her at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on her feast day, 12 December in Monterrey, Mexico.
Why Run Program: Builds Marian devotion and pro‑life witness across parishes and councils.
When to Run: According to the state/regional Silver Rose schedule.
